Jamie and Jonny live on the east side with their puppy Ziggy. Since we wanted to include Ziggy in some of their session so we started our lovely spring day on the east side of Manhattan before zipping over to the west side for some shots on the High Line and in the Meatpacking District. We love making our couple’s pets a part of their session!

Springtime is the time for City Hall weddings! Jean and Steve had a lovely ceremony downtown followed by fun photographs all over the city! I love when brides decide that although their wedding will be small their fashion does not. Jean seriously brought the awesome with her "Rock n Roll" dress by Ian Stuart and those AMAZING red Valentino heels, the perfect pop of red on her wedding day!

Jean and Steve took pictures along the High Line and Meatpacking District, smooched in front of NYC’s own LOVE sculpture and we love a bride and groom in the subway! Congratulations to you two!

There’s something so romantic about a City Hall wedding! Meet Brittany and Josh, two kids in love from Kansas City! Brittany and Josh actually live in New York but all of their family came to support them from Kansas City. In fact Brittany and Josh’s families are next door neighbors back home!

It’s always so special being in that small room with our couples during the short City Hall ceremonies but these two had their own vows to share with one another that made it even more personal. Congratulations to you two!

Wow. As we are getting back to regular New York City life I’m here reflecting on what a truly wonderful experience it was to capture Karina and Gavin’s beautiful multi day Thailand wedding in Railay Beach.

So where do I even start? Let’s start with the actual mode of transportation to get to paradise. After flying into the tiny Krabi International airport a very nice Thai man who spoke minimal English picked up us in a van and drove us 30 minutes or so to a beach in Ao Nang, Thailand. We trekked all of our luggage down the water where we had to climb into a giant wooden long tail boat that would take us to the actual beach. Oh did I mention it was nighttime? As we started to head towards the ocean the moon and stars were bright over us and I got a sense of what southern Thailand was going to be like. Gorgeous.

Once we “landed” at Railay Beach someone met us with a cart for our luggage and off we headed into the jungle. We knew we would be staying in some sort of hut or something similar. Since it was nighttime I wasn’t entirely sure where we were going but just followed! Our little house was super cute, outfitted with mosquito netting above our beds! I couldn’t believe how amazing it was!

The next morning I woke up early and took a walk down to the beach. Railay Beach apparently over the years has become quite the tourist destination but because it is still only accessible by boat it’s still a very small community. Karina’s family owns a house at the Railei Beach Club and used to come every summer here growing up. When Gavin and Karina met they soon discovered that Railay Beach was their favorite location in the world although they had visited at separate times. How romantic is that?

We got a feel for the property and met all of Karina and Gavin’s family that day in preparation for the big welcome party that night! At sunset everyone (100 guests from 12 different countries!) met at the bar on the beach dressed all in white for an evening of drinking, dancing, toasting and meeting new and old friends in truly one of the most beautiful places on Earth. At the end of the evening we all went out onto the beach to set off sky lanterns. As Karin and Gavin’s luck would have it all of them floated up and towards the moon!

Stay tuned for more from this amazing wedding!
